Dendrobates Intermedius fall into the same group as Dendrobates Imitator, and much of the same behavior and breeding patterns can be observed. The breeding behavior is typically carried out in seclusion, utilizing either a horizontal or inverted film container (black) which has been elevated. Some breeders report eggs having been laid directly on the glass although I have yet to see this happen in my own tank. Typically the clutch sizes range from two to six eggs, which are off-white in color. The male Intermedius will call from sunrise to sunset, and the call is a pleasing bird-like trill which is very audible. Currently I am happy to be working with two different lines of Dendrobates Intermedius.
